When changing battery, airbag light will come on and will not go off, consumer has taken vehicle to dealership to get airbag light turned off, also it is in manual that this will happen if changing batteries with key in ignition, contacted dealer, and dealer stated nothing wrong. Consumer stated the battery shorted out, therfore causing the airbags to become permanently disabled, the design is they become activated if a weak battery is changed, but not if the battery has shorted out, consumers wife crashed into a pole on new Y ears day, and air bag failed to deploy.
