2001 Hyundai Accent. While in use, the driver's side wiper swung off without warning while driving in rain on 95 North. Wiper was inoperable. The car was taken into the local dealership the next day. The replaced the wiper. The old part is not available. Driver's side wiper swung off again in rain while on the road several other times. Each time, the bolt was tightened and the wiper was operable again. In 2006, the wiper swung off again during heavy rain. Was not able to tighten bolt. Took car into dealership. They replaced wiper again. Although there were no injuries, there is no warning when the wiper suddenly swings off during operation. The driver suddenly loses visibility out of the driver's side windshield during heavy rain.
