my back lights won't go off! my battery will be drained

I just bought this car - used. Good on gas but this light problem is a - It Will Be Sold Soon. I do not need to have to unhook my battery everywhere I go. I don't even have tools! The lights will NOT turn off.

I have NEVER had a car do such a stupid thing. First Hyundai, probably my last.

Update from Mar 16, 2014: I found out what it is. Apparently there is a little rubber/plastic part by the break pedal that if it falls off it will keep your lights from turning off.

The mechanic put a screw in the place of this part and that fixed the problem.

Strange - but true.
