This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Hyundai dealer.
SRS light turns on all the time, we try to scan but the problems have not solved.

The Hyundai Accent airbag malfunction lights are on for both front seats. This car has low mileage for the age, and has been gently used. Online research indicates potential airbag failure and warning light failure is a common problem. My mechanic told me if the lights are on the airbags will not deploy in a crash. Don't want to find out if that is really true. It seems like such a problem should be on recall, consider the frequency it is described online as a common problem. Airbags certainly should not fail due to overuse or wear. Seems like a defective product to begin with.
Will take to Hyundai dealer, but suspect the repair will be on my dime. Bought this car used because it was safe for such a small vehicle. Can't risk driving w/o airbags!

Air bag lights stayed on constantly passenger/driver sides, air bag lights flickered, air bag lights never came on or came on later while driving to a destination and never went off, Fuccillo dealership said reset system, replaced mat passenger side, replaced seat, passenger side BUT NEVER REALLY FIXED THE PROBLEMS. Bottom line Fuccillo gave me, 66 year old handicapped person, a pile of pages that said I WIGGELED TOOOOO MUCH IN MY SEAT!!!!????!!!!

At Approximately 68,000 mi the passenger air bag light came on, I drive this car mostly alone was used to commute to work and back so this seat was hardly ever used while I owned it ( 2nd Owner ) now retired and use it for errands and taking the dog to the park, Had been concerned about ever having someone in the front seat and not being protected because sensor malfunction don't show seat occupied, this could be deadly and do not let anyone ride with me ! Have taken the car to the dealer to have repaired thinking they could replace the sensor, but they said the seat has to be replaced and the price just for the seat was $900, so would be looking at a bill well over $1000. this defect affects resale, Who would want it with an important safety feature not working
