Accent GLS 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 169,000 miles

As reported at 143,000 mi., air bag light is on and stays on. This time in dash light. No codes found and hate to think of what COULD happen IF I were involved in a crash, would they still work or take it old school style?

Accent 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 136,000 miles

I have seen other complaints on a 2009 Hyundai Accent with the air bag light that will not go off. I did have a mechanic do something once, but told me that it has a recall and to take it to the dealer. Well there is no recall and the light came back on after a while. Don't know what makes it come on except maybe they should be recalled. I can google and find all kinds of complaints on Hyundai Accents with the air bag light on. Maybe somebody thinks the car is too cheap to be fixed. I don't know.

Accent GS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,000 miles

I think it should be repaired by Hyundai, because it appears to be a faulty sensor. Why in the hell would you pay 1000.00 dollars for it to be replaced? The car has 37,000 miles, I would think it should be covered?
