The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Azera. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 35,000. Updated 10/31/12 the consumer also stated the vehicle was recalled for a defective seat belt. The seat belt was fixed, not replaced. The seat belt warning light illuminated for the second time. The dealer then replaced the seat belt, but with the same type of belt. Updated 10/31/12

2007 Hyundai Azera. Consumer states repeated use of the front passenger seat belt caused damage to the seat belt tension sensor, therefore illuminating the air bag warning indicator, rendering it ineffective in the event of a crash the dealer informed the consumer the part was on backorder. The consumer stated it has been over a month.
