I love my Azera Limited; great car. But the clicking noise in the steering wheel has been diagnosed as this little plastic disk in there that is no good and the part costs less than $5; but the labor estimate is around $300! It has been like this for over a year but now it has gotten worse so I will get it fixed. Shame that when I searched for info online I found that Hyundai recalled the steering for the Sonata but not the Azera (yet it is the same part and the same problem).

I reported this problem to Hyundai. I was told that it was a common problem and that the part for it would cost around $5 to $10 but the labor would be $400 plus dollars. I couldn't afford that.

I understand the Sonata has a recall for the same problem. I don't understand why the Azera doesn't.

We would hear popping noises when we would turn the steering wheel. Took it to the dealership and was told the steering coupler was faulty and was not covered under the warranty. A lot of other Hyundai’s have the part covered, but not the Azera. The part was $1.99, shop materials were $39.82, and LABOR was $568.88! I know there are others with this problem. Call like I did and post your complaint and maybe we can get this covered! If it is made to where it is covered, you can get a reimbursement!!!

There are a significant number of complaints for Hyundai to issue a recall. Since they have not done so as of this date, they are apparently unreliable and we (the complainants) should form some sort of union to either boycott Hyundai or initiate a lawsuit
