Purchased hyundai Elantra, and got really sick. I had gasoline poisoning from the amount of gas fumes entering the drivers compartment. i ended up in a wheelchair as my nervous sysyem was destroyed, had the air recircling in AZ. I about died. Hyundai had a recall on the fuel tanks. I was told by hyndai in writing I needed to sue the manufactorer in Korea. That was a lie, it was made in GA. I was made fun of by their attorneys, and they knew the gas tank was the cause. They actually tried to have the fuel tank not be admissable. I was called a liar. I was not the only person who had this problem, 7000 recalled. The cars actually blew up sitting in driveways. i was told if a sparks or a cigarette had been lit , the car would have been blown sky high. They advertise widely on every news station, and when they say safety is number one, I just get sicker. I would never recommend this manufactor of vehicles, they also own Kia. They have had recalls on thier fuel tanks for ten years, and nothing is ever said about this problem on the news or JD Powers. I am now on disability, thanks to hyundai!!!! I lost in court as no coorilation between gasoline poisoning and the cracked fuel tank that allowed gas fumes to enter vehicle, I was beat up horribly by them. Noone should buy a HYundai They are ruthless, one attorney for hyndai even said he knew it was true, but that wasn,t the side he was on.
