The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated that the sun visor piece that connected the driver and passenger side visors to the roof of the vehicle fractured. As a result, the visors could not be used. The dealer diagnosed that the piece was fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000......updated 07/21/15 the consumer was driving 65 mph when the sun visor fell into his line of vision. He couldn't remove it or put it back up. He had to hold it in the up position until he could get home and take it down with a screw driver. Updated 07/30/15...updated 08/20/15 the consumer stated the first time the incident happened, he was in the vehicle with his wife. She gently pulled down the passenger sun visor and the clip that held the visor in the retaining bracket swivel broke and could not be re-attached or put back in the up position. The second time it happened, it was two months later. The consumer gently pulled the visor down in the forward position and heard a crack. The consumer had to use his hand, to hold the visor up. Both of the sun visors in my vehicle fall down when going over a speed hump. The plastic dowel holding the visor in place is defective. There are numerous other Hyundai vehicles suffering from the same problem, as documented here: howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=157121 updated 8/5/2015

Sun visors won't stay up, I live in las vegas where it is extremely hot & sunny. The visor won't stay in place so I can't place it in a position where I can see around it and it won't hold a window visor in place to keep the sun out of the interior of the car.
