Towards the end of 2013, I had purchased a 2008 Hyandai Elantra. On February 3, 2014, I was driving under the speed limit because it was a severe snow storm. The speed limit was between 25 and 30 miles per hr. Well, cause of the storm I was going extremely slow so I could get from one city to the next to get home safe. I was about to turn down a side street, I tapped my breaks very easily and all of a sudden, my brakes locked and I went sliding into a parked car. Thank god I didn't hit anyone.
I have asked numerous people at auto body shops, and they all tell me it's normal for that to happen. Ummm, no it's not! Even on wet leaves, and I'm slowing down to stop, my brakes would cramp up and slide! I had a 2001 PT Cruiser that I had for years and I have never slid into anything. So this to me isn't normal. Please help!
P.S. Brakes lock suddenly on ice, snow or wet leaves. No chance of slowing down, the brakes automatically locks as soon as I tap the brakes! Car dealership has told me that they don't cover brakes! Having a newer car from what I had, should of not happened!
