This is the only car I have ever owned in my 50 years of driving, that I have ever had as many issues with the electrical system affecting the front and tail lights on an ongoing basis.I have had to replace bulbs much too often. Now the light socket on the rear trunk lid, drivers side, isn't registering power in an electrical test and the fuse appears to be in good condition. A parts person at a local Hyundai dealer says that they have had instances that required the electrical connector at the main power panel to be replaced. Price for the part $49 ? I have noticed more than a few similar late model Elantras on the road that have various lights not working, in my mind suggesting that there is a quality issue in the integrity of various electrical components on this perticulkar model vehicle.

Update from Jun 23, 2018: June 23, 2018 The same issue of frequent burning out of light bulbs - front high beam/day running lights, rear tail, and brake lights.

I have witnessed many other Elantras of similar style with burbned out tail lights, brake lights.

Hyundai has never issued a recall for this issue? i don't understand.

I have never had such an issue with any othe car manufacturer or model car or truck.

This is a hazard to saftey for the driver and the public, Hyundai why aren't you addressing this issue?
