problem #3

Dec 112023

Elantra Limited 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,100 miles

Same problem/symptoms as reported by other owners, especially for 2013 Elantras. Started out as small play before the wheels started turning. Now has become about 3/4 inch steering wheel movement before the wheels react. I'm worried that if/when the part that is getting looser fails I'll loose control of the car. I'm thinking this problem should inspire the powers that be to mandate a recall.

problem #2

Oct 072020

Elantra LS 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 46,000 miles

The steering wheel use to catch/stick when turning the wheel, now it has a lot of play so when you turn the wheel it turns about an 1" or so before you feel the wheels turn...

Is this covered under any recalls???
