I park the car at home on a sloped driveway with the emergency brake engaged. while driving, I would often sense that the car was sluggish. gas mileage was awful, well below estimates (that is another complaint, as well). then it occurred to me that the wheels did not seem to be spinning freely. I brought the car to the dealer to have the emergency brake checked for unusual wear. they found the brakes from the factory were too tight, and adjusted them. I purchased the car new. I am not certain it has been totally resolved.
