This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Hyundai dealer.
I had work at the Hyundai dealer, had oil leak fixed in June the tech resealed valve cover, front cover and oil pan. my first attempt to take it in I was told it was coming from my oil filter due to not being a Hyundai part. I had to go into the shop to show the tech where the leak was coming from since I was a service adviser. they put dye in my oil tighten a bolt said I should be fine. a month later I still have and oil leak so I brought it back they did the repairs. at this time I am employee there mind you. I wrote a ticket on my vehicle three different time and would be closed out for month end. finally they looked at it when I put my two weeks in said I did not have an oil leak. here I am a month later at a different job which I still have an oil leak and the seal is sealed horribly. so I contacted Hyundai there self and explained my frustration I am the second owner to this vehicle which limits the warranty to 5 years 60k which I am at 49k. I work 6 days a week from 7:30am to 6:00pm which no one is open after if so they can only perform oil changes and tire rotation. so I will have to take time off of work loosing income to take my car they could care less. what if this happens for the third time different part and I am over 60k I will never buy a Hyundai ever again!

I have dealt with dealership that has done unnecessary things to my car...something that appeared to be oil leak cost me 3 oil changes and they made me change coolant as well (car is 2013 and 36 000 km on it)...these manipulations cost me over $300 CAD...after some time I noticed that leak has not been fixed and went back...I have been advised that it is transmission tray leak and it will be covered by repair but part has to be ordered...in couple of days I went back and left my car there only to get a call in an hour to be advised that it will not be covered by warranty....I have been quoted $1200 CAD for it and refused to proceed with repaired...instead I have repaired it at my mechanic for $500 CAD...
Tray had a puncture, that could not be done by regular car use...because tray itself is covered by air box, that had no damage on it...so there are only 2 scenarios possible, it was sold like this or damaged at a dealer....
I have contacted Hyundai Canada customer service manager and my email was ignored...he appointed somebody to give me a call, who basically told me we don't care, your problem....
I them forwarded email to president with all the supportive documentation and also has been ignored.
Never in my entire life I have been treated with such a rudeness and disrespect....I completely disappointed in Hyundai as a company and will never ever purchase anything from them again.
I feel cheated and fooled.
