It's my bad, cannot actually explain which would be the best if I have any videos describe how much pain to my ears when hearing this discomforting sound.

I had this problem since last year, and even the Hyundai service technician doesn't know how to fix the problem. I went to 3 different service centers to overcome the solution, but they suggested to claim the warranty and replace the WHOLE EXHAUST PIPE. And you can bet how much the probability of the Hyundai will endorse the claim, which absolutely can cost them with 3 digit dollars.

I mailed to Hyundai in order to report and claim according to this problem, and here is what actually wrote to them, explained the scenario:

"Dear Ms Shila,

From our conversation just now, herewith I attach my car service record as per requested.

My car details: 1. Model : Elantra 1.8 2. Plat no : -

As I mentioned just now, my exhaust pipe now has a weird sound after my service for 20,000 km mileage. This is believed due to technician mistake at service center when they accidentally broke one of the spark plug connectors, as a result, the related combustion chamber did not function. Hence, exhaust flow is believed did not flow properly through the pipe. Besides, my engine got low power and unstable RPM, and yet has possibility to break down. I have already reported this matter and they replaced the connector, but failed to solve the exhaust weird sound. They suggest to replace the exhaust set later. Service center (at OKR) already submitted 2 times for warranty claim, but both have been rejected then. What is the reason given by warranty department cannot be tolerated, as this is not my fault.

Please do a necessary action and please consider my loyalty to Hyundai service, so that warranty department could approve this claim. This is a new car, thus, Hyundai should take care of their brand new image, as well as should has no problem in sight of quality and service!

Regards,"
