I've called Hyundai many times asking about a recall on air bags for my 2013 Elentra GLS and they still don't have one. Even after telling them there are many on the internet that has complained about that same thing and yet nothing is done. I was told to take it back to dealership have them test which is $115.00 to find out what's wrong. I shouldn't have to considering this is an on going issue with Hyundais. Hyundai should fix this issue and stop making us pay for there mistakes and laziness on these recalls that are so serious. As it stands now I'll never buy another new Hyundai ever again, my experience has been nothing but horrible.

Went to local Hyundai dealer who told me that they have to do and electronic systems review will cost $99.99. After they will let me know whats wrong but can't give me an estimated cost. Reading the 68 reviews, it seems they are all the same problem, so I don't understand why the dealer would not have an educated guess. Also as it is an annoyance, who knows how many drivers don't bother checking it out.

You should not be driving home from work to see the air bag light come on, not knowing if it is going to go off in you'll face and cause you to have a crash. It's was a horrible feeling to have, and I'm 65 years old. We should not have to pay for this.

The air bag sensor light came on and stayed on this weekend - was told I had to go to a dealer to diagnose and have fix because it was a SAFETY issue - First it was $110 for them to tell me it's the Air Bag Control Module needs to be replaced (Error code B1620). This car has had more issues then any car I've ever had! This is a safety issue and one that a 5 year old car shouldn't have! The fact that the entire system potentially will NOT deploy if I am in an accident unless I come up with $1400! A SAFETY ISSUE - especially for a MAJOR component of the car should be covered by the MANUFACTURER - HYUNDAI!!!! This is beyond ridiculous! I guess a few 100 people have to be hurt or worse DIE before HYUNDAI comes forward and does the RIGHT THING! RECALL AND REPAIR THESE UNITS!!!! It is pretty obvious that I am NOT the only one out there - let's just say HYUNDAI that my heirs will be all over you if I get injured or DIE because of a MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE that should be covered at a minimum under my 100,000 mile warranty - Pretty obvious that PROFIT is way more important to you than the SAFETY of your CUSTOMERS.

The airbag light comes on after 10 min when no one is sitting in the passenger seat. If someone is sitting in the seat with the seat belt attached or if the seatbelt is buckled on its own, the light does not come on. I took it to the dealer and was told I need a whole new passenger seat since the controls are attached underneath. Total cost $550! Has anyone else had this problem or has there been a recall for this?
