popping in steering wheel

This was covered under extended warranty up to 100,000 miles / 10years. Mine failed at 130,000 miles. Part was cheap but pain to replace as I do not work on cars much. Since it is such a common failure it would have been nice it they covered my vehicle as well.

Noticed this - knocking in the steering when turning the steering wheel to the left or right - about a year ago from now (10/20). But it has become increasingly louder and worse sounding. My family will not drive this car because of the sound. I feel this should be a recall instead of something I have to fix myself. This is obviously a problem with Hyundai products. Just disappointed this is happening to so many and the warranty was only extended to 100,000 miles.

My steering wheel started doing a cluck sound whenever I turn it. It does it when driving, parked, on the highway, and on the city street.

Steering "knocks" while turning wheel; both standing and with vehicle moving along city streets. Looked up symptom online, which appears to be a common problem known as a defective and unsafe steering coupler. Maybe the coupler should be metal & not plastic. Car starts to shake at speed of 45mph & also while slowing down.

When moving the steering wheel to the right or left, there is a popping noise and I can feel/see it when moved.
