Engine Warning P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Malfunction.

Car starts fine. Car runs and drives fine until the engine gets warm. It's only been 2 days, but has occurred 2x in 5 drive cycles. When the error occurs, the car appears to drive in "limp-mode". Stays in 6th gear, I assume to avoid damaging the engine as getting the wrong timing could critically damage the engine. If you are driving too slow, it is extremely difficult to accelerate. If you step on the gas too hard, the car will shake, sputter and eventually stall (as expected of being flooded because the load is too much).

Will be replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor today ($90). All mechanics in Omaha would charge $200-300 to replace this component, but if they insist on running a Diagnostic it will cost an additional $100-150 or $300-450 total.
