The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while reversing at approximately 2 MPH, the vehicle stopped responding. The contact stated that she moved the gear shifter into neutral (N) position, then shifted back into reverse (R), and the vehicle responded. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there were no transmission issues. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
