Elantra Limited 1.8L Dohc

  • Automatic transmission

Have had several tires replaced always seemed to be the front passenger side that had issues. Was always told that replacing the tires and alignment would work but after 3 sets of tires... finally said it was the ball bearings, hub etc.

I felt a significant, repetitive thump while on a long drive. I stopped a few times to check tires. On return trip, someone helped me check the tires, but we found no bumps or strange wear. I brought the car to a tire dealer who instructed me to go directly to the dealership, or have it towed, since it was a serious problem that should not have been driven the miles just experienced. Tire dealer was appalled this happened after so few miles. Hyundai service said, 'these things wear out'.
