This is an ongoing problem, that Hyundai dealership does not want to fix properly. Everytime it is slightly cold light comes on. Replace tires light comes on, have TPMS reset only last about two wks the light comes on again. Dealership said you purchased tires from NTB it is their problem. This has been a problem no matter where we purchase tires. I will not purchase another vehicle from Hyundai.

TPMS lamp illuminates intermittently, had tire pressures checked and they are/were in compliance with manufacturers standards, the TPMS continues to come on and off randomly so it is difficult to know for sure if their is a problem with a tire. Because of this intermittent light, I had ignored the light and driven with it on for days. Later I saw a tire bulge on one of the tire. TMPS was not helpful. Also the other time a nail was stuck. Also I had been ignoring the light. TPMS not useful if it keeps giving a false light and disappear after a few days without an intervention. The two problems I had would have been nice if TPMS was working properly. Very annoying to see the warning light on my dashboard on random days.

Happened when I got an oil change. Did not take it back to dealership (which is hard when you work full time).

When I first bought my car about 2 weeks after having it the tire pressure light was on all the time. I took it in about 6 times they couldn't fix the issue. They eventually had to give me a new car!

On my 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited, I recently replaced two original Hankook tires. One had a bubble in the sidewall since 03/2013 (got the car 02/2013), and one developed more recently. Months ago, the TMPS light came on. I brought it to a tire place where they said it was a bad valve stem and replaced it. Problem solved temporarily. TMPS came on again. Again, went to get it checked (same chain, different store), they refused to look at it because of the bubble on the tire. Every time it came on, I would check the air pressure and it would go off. Came on again about 10 days ago, checking the air did not turn it off. Note that I never had any problem driving on the tires.

Since I now had two bubbles, I replaced those tires 6 days ago. Today the light came on again. All tires appear fine.

Is there a known problem with tires Hyundai uses? Are TMPS sensors covered by warranty? I am not a car person, so any help would be appreciated!

Today I had to pay to replace the tire pressure sensor/value that went bad when my tire went bad from last week. Once again, Hyundai refused to do anything about this. What seems to be a defective tire is not covered by Hyundai or Hankook. I'm really worried the other three Hankook tires won't last long. I am now $250 out of pocket because Hyundai decided to use cheap junk tires on there cars.

Hyundai has failed me as a customer forever.

On my way to a doctor's appointment 40 miles away and early into my journey (fortunately) the tire pressure gauge shows up on the dash. I go to the first gas station that I find and check all four tires - all have good pressure so I have no idea what the problem is. I call and reschedule my appointment because the last thing I want is to have a blow-out going 65 MPH! After searching the internet for complaints like this it appears that Hyundai has a problem with it's tires. I'm not happy right now, before I purchased this car, I did my research and Hyundai was an all around good car! The 2013s appear to have the most complaints of any of it's model years - I still love my Hyundai, but would not recommend it to anyone I care for. I called the dealer and I'm bringing it in tomorrow for them to trouble shoot. If anything interesting shows, I'll update this.
