It was a blizzard on 1/4/18 in Rhode Island. My car was fine at the end of the blizzard. The way the wind was blowing all the snow was on the front hood and the rear, sides and tops were spared. In the morning of 1/5/18 we saw what we thought was burned paper in the yard. I went out to clean off front of car and noticed it was not burned paper but plastic. I noticed the rear hatch window was "spider webbed" but not broken and the plastic around the window was blown out. I am not sure it was from the force of the 40-50 mph wind and the frigid cold but there was no indication of being hit. When my husband got in the car to move to opposite side of driveway, the window imploded. Here we are, record cold -15 to 20 degree below, no back window, windy.

Called Safelite Windshield repair they can come on Thursday 1/10/18...for over $500+++....that is 7 days away. Googled looking for another place and found Patriot in Johnston, RI. More than $200.00 less, if drive to Johnston $10.00 less for charge if in yard, $10.00 more and, they can come on Monday 1/8/18. Stephanie from Patriot was great! We covered the hatchback, tucking it in all around with the heavy duty plastic protection from my dining room table. It worked and still intact after 24 hours. I really wish I had a large garage for storage!!!.

Had trouble with tire X's 3 and finally Hyundai to check for bead leak, it was, had dead battery last week, hit my head cleaning closets, fell in the spare room when cleaning and did not remember moving a box, now the rear window and losing my lob in a couple of months. COME ON 2018 BRING IT ON!!!.

windshield has cracked all the way across twice, no impact

The first time i had it fixed. Less than 6 mo later it cracked again in the same spot, bottom of windshield corner to corner all the way across. I think it is a stress crack as i pulled out of a parking lot and there was a dip in the road and that is when i heard something and looked at the windshield and it was cracked AGAIN! WONDERING IF THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS
