I have had my new 2014 Hyundai Elantra Limited for less than 2 weeks and I already have had multiple problems with the car. 2nd day having the car my touch screen froze and could not reset. A few days later it does it again and sometimes the steering wheel controls for the radio and Bluetooth won't work. 10th day my trunk light comes on, I check and double check, it's closed and I can't get the light to go off. I can't open the trunk using the remote key and I also can't set my alarm on.
Today I took it to a Hyundai Service department and they had to keep it overnight because they have my car torn apart because they are fixing the different issues. The service guy said, well that's why they have the 100,000 mile warranty and I said BS, I got a new car so I don't have to deal with issues like this. I waited over three hours in the Hyundai service department before they told me they need to keep it over night. They never offered to give me a rental for the night but said I could catch a shuttle back to my house.
Tomorrow I don't care about the lost in money, I'm turning in the car for a new Nissan or Mazda 6.
Update from Feb 12, 2015: Well here it is in February and I have had the car for 5 months now with more problems. Just today my trunk light came on again and now I cant even get in my trunk (AT ALL). Also my alarm has started to go off by it self at random times.
