The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Elantra equipped with nexen premier CP671 tires, size P215/45R17. After driving over a small pothole at an unknown speed, the tire was punctured and the sidewall fractured. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic to have the tires replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle and tire failure mileage were 1,900.
