Starting at 40,000 I had to replace the brakes and rotors as they were grinding and squealing really bad. It did not solve the problem and when the brakes were replaced they were not more than 75% worn and the rotors were smooth with no grooves. In 1 year I have changed the brakes and rotors THREE times. Each time the pieces looked and felt brand new. It continues to grind, rub, hum, and skip like the brakes are locked. The dealer continues to say there's no issue at all with the brakes and I need a 2nd set of tires in just 6 months. The grinding can be felt in your bones and I have almost totaled my car of a many occasions due to the brakes locking up.
