My son was in an accident yesterday morning and hit the ditch. The side curtain airbags went off, but the front ones did not. As a result, the whole side of his face hit the steering wheel and got cut and there is a lot of swelling and bruising from the impact. The front airbags should have gone off from the impact and they did not! It looks like this is a common problem and maybe they could have saved his face. He is very lucky he did not have an orbital fracture from this. But his swollen face and eye looks horrendous!
