My 2020 Elantra consumes oil. I bought it brand new so I am the only owner.

It seems it started from the very first maintenance. However, this fact was neglected by the dealership and I did not insist (because this is my very first car and I had no idea how a dipstick with the oil level looks like).

First consumption looked like this: first 2500 km after maintenance was okay, then after that oil started go away. The consumption grew overtime to the extent that i had 2 instances of engine noise due to no oil/extremely low oil level within 6000 km (I do maintenance every 6K km). I am now doing an oil consumption test (i requested one earlier and thought that they did one but since they did not give me any documents or copies thereof, it seems that they just fooled me) and I have an impression that everything is done to just stall the time and delay until my warranty is over. There have been recalls issue for the very same issue that I am experiencing with the car so I guess I am not a lucky guy.

And I understand, s*** happens and things break - it's life. There is always a risk of a supplier shipping bad parts which can eventually result in car issues but the a part of a brand name is also how quick those issues can be fixed - especially if they fall under the warranty. It is not fair to tell a customer that it is preferable that the engine stalls. Are you serious?! People can die but they probably don't care.
