Elantra GT GLS 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission

It drove like this from day one. I was told by Hyundai that I had to get use to it and that's the way the car drives. It now drives correctly with the new part installed and almost feels like a real car to drive and I feel slightly safer driving it but not much. If they can't even get a steering part correct from new, then what else is going to brake on this vehicle and put myself and my family in danger?

I would not recommend anyone buy a vehicle from such a shady horrible customer service company.

My Hyundai sonata makes a very annoying clinking sound with or without you turning the steering wheels. It also makes the same noise whenever you go over a bump. Any slight movement, and the steering is clinking. I went to Hyundai Ourisman Bowie to get it checked and they are asking for an arm and a leg. Even my local mechanic insists it ought to be a recall, there's so much complaint about this particular problem. Doesn't Hyundai realize this is bad for their business. Before this problem started, I wanted to get another Hyundai, even told everyone how good Hyundai cars are, but now, I can assure you I will surely not buy any Hyundai. After this saga, I am certainly done with Hyundai cars. This is very very very bad for their brand. Do they realize what the word of mouth, complaints can do to their business/brand? This is completely unacceptable.

There is a clicking in the steering wheel column when you move the steering wheel in either direction. Clicking is loud and continues when driving - even straight.
