The contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Elantra touring equipped with Goodyear assurance tires size 215-45-R17, dot pj63ju11711. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the driver rear tire blew out and a few days later, the rear passenger side tire also blew out. The tires were inspected and it was found that the sidewalls were cracked. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 7,000 and the vehicle failure mileage was 53,380.
