This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Hyundai dealer.
The dealership changed the odometer with a new one. It never solved the problem, the new one does the same thing. Numbers cannot be read. The problem is always more pronounced in warm weather.

The digital instrument cluster which gives odometer reading failed just before I bought the car (used), was replaced by dealer in May 2016. As of today (04/23/2018), it is becoming unreadable again-some digits are dim/unreadable.
Update from Apr 28, 2018: As others have posted, the problem seems to be temperature-related. If the car's interior gets warm (somewhere around >75 F) the digits begin to become unreadable. Once it cools down, everything is fine. I expect that it will be really aggravating when summer gets here.
