clunking noise over small bugs

I've owned this van since new and have not had too many issues with it. I noticed about a year ago while driving over small bumps I can hear a clunking noise from under the front. It sounds and fees like the struts are worn out but if I move the steering wheel side to side I get the same noise. Not sure of the cause or fix for this.
