When I stepped on the gas from a stop at a red light the engine started racing and the throttle stuck.the engine wouldn't stop racing so I had to turn the key off to get it to stop. Pretty scary. A secondary issue is that the rear passenger seat will not flip up. It's locked in place.

Front passenger seat weight sensor malfunction. There was no incident/accident. Airbag service light came on, regular garages couldn't diagnose problem, only a Hyundai dealer can read the code; once it was determined that weight sensor was not working, apparently the only solution is to replace the entire passenger seat assembly, cannot replace just the sensor.
