Not going to do all that. My Hyundai has been really good to us and I'm satisfied with my van. In fact I keep the engine clean and well maintained. Engine looks like new. I understand that problems are unavoidable when mass producing vehicles. I just want Hyundai to stand by their product and repair factory defects when they arise. The Hyundai dealerships have no consideration to their customers complaints or concerns and most cases are unwilling to look at your problem unless they are getting paid.

Whatever happened to the American way of working for the customer. Mechanics these days want to troubleshoot with computers. If they cant find problem with there computers then nothing is wrong. A real mechanic will listen to customers concern, use that info to troubleshoot problem, then find the best solution to help their customer. If the dealer can't sell you parts and labor they don't want you around and they will hold you hostage for the entire day before they decide to let you know.

Hyundai needs to stand up to this particular problem(complaint) because this oil leak over alternator can be very hazardous or even deadly(alternator can catch fire, complete loss of electrical power while driving, not to mention engine and drivetrain damage). To avoid these problems I routinely replace alternator before oil completely saturates alternator, clean engine of any residual oil contamination, clean all electrical connectors with electronic cleaner and air dry. I'm done spending my money. I noticed that there are quite a few people with this problem. So I really hope that Hyundai puts this problem into a factory recall soon.
