Pulled my oil pan to fix a gasket leak. When we pulled it, there was basically just sludge clogging the oil pan pickup filter, despite having routine oil changes and maintenance. It appeared it had not been filtering new oil for quite some time. The pickup screen was cleaned and new oil and filters were put in. Luckily there appears to be no significant engine damage at this time, but I'm posting this after reading about recalls for oil sludge in 2011 model Hyundais and newer.
