After second time another window lift (failed without any use) fell down, went to dealer for repair. [the darkened window films were left scratched with open spaces at each repair.] auto released to customer for a few days until parts would arrive, after recall service. Was told stop lamp switch replacement would fix all previous ESC and transmission lockup complaints. Not! after leaving dealership when slowing to 20 mph with electronic doors locked and windows closed, tapped brake, caused automobile to lurch violently to a sudden stop in rush hour traffic. Smoke filled the interior and neither doors nor windows would open, and dash lights flashed intermittently on a random basis, with out logic, and died. Auto was immobilized and could not be shoved nor driver extracted by fire department response (2). Eventually was able to cause passenger power window (only) to lower halfway during final flash from lights. With help was able to escape. Trunk was opened with manual key (key fob inoperative) and swelled battery was melting down, with ventilation, did not explode. The oem battery location failed by sedimentation shorts from a "goosey" suspension. Dealer retrieved vehicle, after window lift replaced, demanded customer removal by putting bad battery from another vehicle in for jump start. Drove to nearest after market store for adsorbed glass mat (agm) battery to preclude future fires. Driver's door actuator total failure replaced (37631). Brake light switch replaced again (46704). Brake switch diode recall refused by dealerships that continue to also refuse to adjust emergency free play, at any cost. Porous oem tires replaced for safety. This car is considered unsafe to drive unless one window remains lowered for an escape path.

The rear tires wear incredibly quick 60,000 mile tires in 11,000 50,000 mile tires in 19,000 cheap tires even quicker.I took the car into Hyundai for them to take a look at it and the said everything was fine with the car.everything checked out the alignment was fine. I took the car to my mechanic he said the alignment was fine but there has to be something wrong with the car for this to happen. He said he would have to take the rear end off the car to find out where the problem is. I called Hyundai and they asked me to go to another dealership and have them look at it which I did and they said nothing was wrong with the car and charged me $134.70 when Hyundai themselves asked me to take it to them. There is definitely something wrong and Hyundai keeps trying to blame the tires. This is a severe safety hazard.after the first set wore down I thought it was the tires. Put on Michelin Pilot A/3 a very good tire was coming home on the highway it started raining and I went sideways. Luckily I caught it in time and straightened the car out. I had no idea why this happened until I got home driving extremely slow in the right lane to find I had no tread after 11,000 miles on the Michelin's. the car has less than 40,000 miles and this will be the 4th set of rear tires
