The contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Genesis equipped with Bridgestone potenza tires, size: 255/45R18 (na). While driving 65 mph, there was a loud abnormal noise underneath the vehicle. The vehicle began to lose control. While attempting to control the vehicle and slow down, he crashed into a median. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the front driver side tire was low. The contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steel belts failed and needed to be replaced. The two front tires were replaced. The tires were original tires. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 21,000.

I bought 4 new Michelin Pilot sport A/S plus early last year. I have put approximately 30K miles on them. I brought my car into my tire shop and the manager told me Michelin was offering money to replace the tires. I asked if it was a recall and he told me that it was not. He inspected my tires and showed me the tires were actually flaking and I could see tire cords showing on certain parts of the outer edge. I looked up to see if there is a recall on the tire and I could not find any mention of this tire. Why not" huge safety concern that has not yet been addressed and very frustrating to think action is not being taken. Wake up folks!! I cannot be the only one who has complained. I went onto the Michelin website and saw numerous complaints similar to mine on their site. What does it take? a fatality before you "spring" into action"
