My 2012 Genesis has an unresolved issue with the A/C that only manifests after the car sits (not running) in hot weather for a period of time. Best estimate is at least an hour. Upon starting the A?C blows hot air for 3-5 minutes before the A/C kicks in. I've had enough experience with this to try all permutations of A/C settings - no combination affects the duration.
The dealership ran diagnostics, recycled the coolant in the A/C system, but to no effect. In fact, when I picked up the car after "repairs" the problem was present long enough for me to call the service rep, have the car driven back to the garage, have the technician work with the A/C controls, and state that I he got it working by turning off the "auto" button - where in fact it had been about 4 or so minutes and it just started working.
I asked whether there were any known issues with the A/C. The answer was no.
I haven't been back for this issue. Here are my other observations about the problem:
1. Once the car reaches a temperature that triggers the A/C issue it does not matter if the car cools off. I've left my car at the airport during hot days and retrieved it during cooler nights. The issue is "set" until the A/C runs for awhile but the duration is usually less (~ 2-3 minutes).
2. The A/C does not gradually cool. It blows hot (ambient or higher) until it finally kicks in.
3. This issue came with the car. It did not present itself until the summer and does not occur during moderate weather.
I hope someone out there has a solution. Hyundai has no resolution.

Been to 2 dealers one said freon too low. The next said to high. Then on the third trip the dealer they said the car must be at operating temperature before the a/c works you know like the heater...
So after 45 years of owning cars this one is new to me my Caddy works fine, Town Car worked fine even my daughters Sonata works fine long before the car reach's operating temp.....

This has been going on since we got the car. When the weather is hot and the car has sat for a day, the AC won't come on for several minutes after the car has started. It has, a couple of times not started at all. We have had it to the dealer multiple times for this, but the situation won't repeat for them, and they can find no reason for it to happen.
