I believe this is a manufacture defect. The paint is peeling on the quarter panel in the engine compartment. Also clear coat on the door handle has began peeling.

1.5 years ago the rear bumper developed brown spots coming thru the white paint, then the clear coat started to peal off. Hyundai repaired that as defective paint which is still good today. Now the rocker covers on both sides and the front bumper cover are doing the same thing, but Hyundai refused to help with the repair. I was considering buying a new Genesis Sport this year, but I guess I won't as they won't fix obvious defects in their products.

Paint began peeling on front and rear bumpers. Large areas began to occur on front bumper so I took the car in and the areas were repainted at the dealership. (Huffines of Plano). Repainting was not done in their body shop but by a contractor working in the used car lot out of his van. Two weeks later the rear bumper started peeling and blistering. Took the car back to Huffines of Plano and the repainting was done in the used car parking lot by another independent contractor. I hand wash with out any pressure washer, dry, and wax also applied by hand.

Now I'm noticing peeling around the bottom side molding. All of the paint problems have been on plastic body parts and none on any metal.
