I've seen a class action lawsuit listed for every other engine in the Genesis line, except the 5.0 Tau engine. I recently noticed consumption issues of over 1 quart per thousand miles and don't feel I should have to pay anything to repair it. I think Hyundai should replace this engine with a new one. I have dealer service consistently since I purchased the car. I have noticed oil in my intake and poor performance yet the dealer states everything is fine.
Replace the engine with a new engine with upgraded piston rings, Hyundai. I won't be satisfied with a used engine that may not have been taken care of or a rebuild that will have other issues because of all the oil going where it shouldn't and low levels not lubricating correctly.

I HAVE BEEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP LETTING THEM KNOW OF THIS ISSUE 4 Times, and documented. This last time I went to a local location to change my oil. The oil light only came on when I turned fast, and this is all with in 3k oil changes. Seems I am losing a rate of 1 container of oil per 1k mileage. That's as low as 3 containers of oil per change. I am going to call the dealer again and let them know this has happened. For the 2012 it's about 15k for a new motor. I am not looking forward to replacing this motor for any issues caused by rings being bad by the manufacture.
The dealer did a 1 week test which doesn't allow the problem to show. If your "dealer is giving you the run around" go to another dealer.

As there is a class action with Hyundai GDI engines, I want to know if my vehicle meets the criteria as I am adding over a quarter of oil every 1k miles!
