problem #2

Jul 012013

Genesis Limited 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

There is a definite hesitation between the time one hits the gas and the response. Generally it's about a 1/2 second. Not earth shattering, but definitely not expected. I've been told that "it's just the nature of the car". I will say that once acceleration does kick in it though, is the quickest V6 I've experienced.

problem #1

Apr 012014

Genesis 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

Since new, car has very significant flat spot upon acceleration from low speed. Enough of a problem that pretty much any sudden speed request from the engine compartment is completely ignored for approx 2 to 3 seconds. This is not acceptable behavior for any car, much less Hyundai's Flagship, as it were. Research online shows that this problem is quite widespread, and something needs to be done about it.
