I Bought this car for my wife. Other than it is a beautiful car, I am not very happy with it.
First it was small annoying things like the windshield wipers only last a couple of storms before they would streak the glass. The intermittent wipers are supposed to work by sensing the amount of rain or snow on the windshield and wipe the appropriate amount of times to keep the windshield clear, right? Well, these only work when the want to. The dealer say's they work fine when tested. So were stuck with either high or low if we need to run the wipers.
Driving on 2 inches of snow, this all wheel drive car handled like I was driving on ice in a school bus. So I bought snow tires. Then I got the notice that there was a recall on the factory installed tires. Great timing Hyundai, thanks a lot. Oh, and a recall on a taillight issue.
The wife and I go to dinner one night. While exiting an off ramp from the highway the car began to shake violently. And I do mean violently. If I would have had to stop fast it would have been impossible. Once again we take it back to the dealer. They tell us all four brake rotors are warped. (Warped rotors at 13000 mi.) The fix was, they resurfaced the rotors free of charge. So I asked, Why didn't they replace them. They said that Hyundai would no pay them to replace the rotors. I asked, does this mean that when the car needs it's scheduled brake job they will resurface them again? The reply was, "no they will have to be replaced". Which means it will cost me more money. Thanks again Hyundai!!
