problem #2

Genesis ES 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,988 miles

The transmission actually started stalling & jerking in Dec 2017, however dealer ran point check and said could not find anything wrong. The car drove better for awhile, but started stalling again in 2019. The violent jerk in the lower gears occurred the week of September 20th. Took car to dealer and they reset transition adaptive values. Car drove smoothly for 3 weeks and then violent jerk occurred and lower gears did not want to change, so mostly coasted home. Took car into dealer next day stating I could not safely drive the car due to the violent jerk returned and the gears were not changing. The car is in the shop with a 2 weeks ETA for obtaining the transmission and installing.
