Genesis Coupe 6-cyl

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of people with Hyundai vehicles with the 3.8 engine from 2010-2016 with blown engines because of rod bearing failures with anywhere from as low as 60,000 miles to 150,000 miles. How many have to fail and leave people stranded before somebody does something about it. My car engine failed at 116,000 and has been at the dealership a month already and their not doing [XXX] about it to fix it. It'll cost me and everyone else thousands of dollars. These 3.8 engines are just as likely to fail as all the Hyundai 2.0 engines that are currently being recalled. Somebody need ls to do something about it cuz I'd say there will be a lawsuit coming for Hyundai in the near future INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

So I had bought my gen coupe 25 days before it had blown up. When purchased I did all the regular maintenance. 4,000 miles later. The engine has oil issues and dropped a cylinder and blew the engine. I had financed the car and now I'm stuck with a broken car and every shop wants to charge me 10-15K for a new used engine. I'm lost and don't know what to do. Is there anyone else dealing with the same issues?

The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Genesis coupe. While the contact's son was stopped at a stop light, he released the clutch and a loud noise was heard. The driver exited the vehicle and noticed parts on the ground underneath the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home and then towed to kendall Hyundai (15895 S dixie hwy, miami, fl 33157 (855) 510-3093) where it was diagnosed with a fractured differential bolt that needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was awaiting a call back. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a clutch repair and the vehicle was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 15V756000 (suspension, power train), but the failure recurred. The vehicle was also taken to the dealer twice to have the differential bolt repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

Faulty synchros - 6 speed manual transmission. Shifting into 3rd or 4th gear results in a grind 9/10 times. The original transmission has already been replaced once and the brand new oem transmission is having the same symptoms only 12 miles later!
