I see more & more cars getting recalled. I am in Australia and so far no mention of my car, it is a Hyundai IX35 manufactured in November 2011 with a 2.4ltr Theta 2 engine. The engine blew a number 2 cylinder conrod bearing 2 weeks ago at 94000km at a cost of $4500 to repair.
this vehicle is the same as the Hyundai Tucson and I bet there is a Kia the same as well. Anyway its the engine that is being recalled isn't it.
Does anyone know if Hyundai Australia are doing anything? Besides probably trying to keep the problem quiet. If anyone can shed any light on the Australian situation for me I'd love to hear from you.
