Takara recall - my car was shut off and parked in my driveway. About an hour later, (my car was still off), as I went outside to talk to my family outside which we happened to be only about 15 feet of where my car was parked and still the engine was off! the next thing to my surprise and dismay, my car engine started up all by its self!!!"?? I have 2 family witness verifying my engine was in fact running and there is absolutely no way I had anything to do with it! I am very concerned about this happening again especially if it did it once and I don't know what would have happened if I was not around my for 2 - unknown long hours! it is very unsettling to know my engine stars on it's own and will it go into reverse or forward and kill someone!!?" please get back to me asap. The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq hybrid. Within less than 30 days of owning the vehicle, the contact felt nauseous. The contact guessed that the issue could be associated with the electrical, engine or fuel system or fumes could be emitting through the vents. The contact received medical testing and treatment. The dealer (vision Hyundai henrietta rochester, 2525 w henrietta rd, rochester, NY 14623, (585) 292-0500) had not yet provided odor testing, but provided various repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.

Purchased vehicle on November 4th, 2017. It is now December 1st, 2017. Problems shortly followed after leaving dealer. Vehicle hesitates, shudders, and jerks while gas engine is engaged while in motion. Also, sometimes almost loses power while in motion using the gas engine. While running in ev mode, no issues or occurrences. Vehicle now has 1822 miles. Vehicle has been in the service department three times. No resolution for problem, as well as being misdiagnosed each time. Check engine light illuminates, diagnostic message reads "a problem has occurred with your engine control system." As well as "multiple conditions have occurred with your vehicle." Hyundai service is aware that other vehicles have had similar issues, resulting in cylinder head being replaced. Hyundai service team has exhausted efforts to fix my vehicle without changing the actual cylinder head, which in turn, left me on the side of the road. Blue-link representatives were friendly, but forgetful of the task at hand. They have replaced my fuel injectors twice as well as oxygen sensor twice, each time saying the problem is "fixed." After second time in the shop, vehicle nearly died in the middle of a major roadway with me and would not exceed 35-40mph or accelerate safely. There are multiple people on online forums complaining of the same problem with the same misdiagnosing's. (faulty fuel injectors as well as bad oxygen sensor.) I just want to drive my brand new, Hyundai Ioniq hybrid, limited... but I cannot drive it safely or drive it at all when it is in the service departments hands. Have had these recurring issues 11/6/2017 - to present 12/01/17.

While driving on the highway approx 65 mph, 3 weeks after purchasing the vehicle, my car popped up the "check engine light" "hev check hybrid system" light and the ac stopped working. Dealership said traction control motor went out, still waiting on repair after 27 days.
