I had my Kona for a little over a year at the time of the issue. We were returning from an out of state vacation, when a grinding/whirling noise began. We really thought nothing of it at the time. Then it continued for a week or so afterwards. I called up the dealer and they asked to see the Kona. After inspection, they said they would not let me drive it in that continue, the driveshaft had completely failed. Dealer gave me a rental and worked on my car for 1 day. I returned the next day to pick up. Everything was covered under warranty luckily, otherwise that would have been a pricey fix.
