UNKNOWN - On Sunday, June 1 2025, whilst driving West Bound on the 408 tollway in Orlando, FL, the sunroof of my car exploded and shattered. I was driving with the sunroof and sunshade closed. I was driving approx 70 miles an hour when I head an explosion, then heard glass spidering and then the glass bits falling on to the sunshade and also traveling down the roof of the car. I pulled over as quickly as I could. Looked at the back of the car I wanted to make sure nothing else happened to my car. When I climbed to look on top of my car, the sunroof had shattered. I took a small video. I immediately exited the freeway, and took side streets home. The entire way, I could hear glass bits dislodging and either hitting the sunshade or traveling off the roof. On the 408, there were only two passenger cars in front of me (no big trucks) and a few cars right behind me. No rocks bounced off anything to hit the sunroof. Traffic on the East bound side was very light also. 1. Yes, car can be inspected. Garage kept since Sunday June 1.25. 2. Safety- if the sunshade would have been open, the sunroof would have shattered into the car, covering me with glass. 3. Appnt with dealer is Thur June $12.25 4. No- no one has seen the vehicle yet 5. No warning lights, just a huge explosion above my head.

In January 2025, during snowy weather, the windshield wipers on my 2021 Hyundai Palisade failed mid-operation and began making a buzzing noise. After 3-?"4 uses, they locked up and stopped functioning, causing a serious visibility issue. This occurred while driving, putting my safety at risk. This symptom directly matches NHTSA Recall 23V-180 / Hyundai Campaign 243, which I was told had already been addressed by the dealership I purchased from (Fitzgerald Hyundai in Gaithersburg, MD). I bought the vehicle used in April 2023, around the time this recall was active. I brought the vehicle back to that dealership in May 2025. They confirmed the wiper motors appeared to be binding and recommended replacement. However, they claimed the issue was not related to the recall and charged me a diagnostic fee of $209. Their service summary matches the defect described in the recall. I believe the recall fix was either never performed properly or did not actually resolve the underlying issue. This appears to be a recurring safety defect that puts drivers at continued risk.

I was unable to use my seatbelt because the end that accepts the strap, would not allow the seatbelt to click in to the device. I had to drive without a seatbelt several miles. I tried probably 20 times to get it to click in before giving up. My husband was able to somehow reset the mechanism, and it appears to be working fine at the moment. but I fear I could get either locked in or out of the seatbelt in the future. There was no warning the seatbelt was having an issue prior to this event. Also, it appears my model, the 2021 Hyundai Calligraphy is not included in the service bulletin campaign with the issue of a knock in the rear end (my noise is coming from the right rear area of the vehicle. Most likely the rear shock absorber, upper insulator. I'm not sure of the safety issue this will cause. Hyundai wants to charge me $160 to tell me if that is what it is. Knowing the other models in this year have this issue My vehicle has approx. $68,000 miles. They have told me my warranty expired at 60,000 miles.

I have a Hyundai Palisade complaint. NHTSA ID Number: 11613395. I was trying to add additional information. The car stopped working again. It stops at intersections and won't start up. This time it wouldn't start at all. Had to be towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership. Since June this car has been at the Hyundai Service center. The following parts have been replace. Transmission Front Axle Bearing Kit 3 ignition coils 5 spark plugs This time they are saying the reason the car stops and won't start is the "starter" needs to be replaced. Out of 6 months, this car has been at the service center for 3 months and multiple visits to the servcie center and three major repairs for the same issue. I want to know if others a having the same issues.

Upon opening the sunroof, two metal pieces flew off while driving and now the sunroof will not shut. The metal that flew off could-??ve hit a car behind me. The car is available for inspection, Upon request. Online and saw other people with similar stories and issues With the Palisade. I then called the dealer/repair shop and scheduled for repair roughly a week and a half out which was the earliest I could get it in. There were no alerts or warnings or any lights telling me there was an issue with this particular device.

The sunroof on the vehicle has completely broken with minimal use the vehicle is a 2021 and only one owner. This is an ongoing issue with the vehicle type and Hyundai is not covering the cost of repair. It is causing a significant hardship for vehicle use and the cost or repair is in the thousands. I am not the only vehicle owner that is having this issue and Hyundai needs to take accountability for this.

The hatch struts prevent the hatch door to close due to the broken plastic surrounding the struts. Both struts were replaced a year after the vehicle was purchased brand new and then a year later another broke and now they are broken again and in less than a year they are showing sign of hair line cracks, which will eventually causes the hatch door to get stuck sand it will not shut. Not only it-??s a safety problem but also a very expensive piece of struts. For both to be replaced it will cost $2500-3000. This is a defect designed with cheap plastic. Please issue a recall immediately.

While driving at 65mph on interstate under mild weather conditions the front sunroof spontaneously exploded. There was an extreme loud pop sound followed by glass flying down the roof line and into the fortunately closed sun shade. There was no external impact to cause this and the sunroof mechanism was not being used. After pulling over for inspection a volleyball size hole was seen in front sunroof and the remaining pieces of fractured glass was bowed up suggesting the glass blew up and not down. Safety concerns from the loud pop sound startling driver and potential for glass to rain over driver and occupants if the sunshade is open. The dealer refused to look at the issue and suggested body shop for repair. There were no warning signs and not a driver related issue. There continue to be many incidents being reported here and I'm guessing countless that aren't. There is an issue with the manufacturer needs to address.

Our car was parked in our garage overnight. In the morning, I went to get in the car and found that the sunroof had shattered. There was no evidence that anything had fallen on it or hit it; it was just simply shattered. There had been no previous damage to the vehicle. We attempted to call the 2 local Hyundai dealerships, but either did not receive a call back or they stated that they could not review our car for at least 2-3 weeks to see if this was a defect.

When turning slowly or going over bumps at a lower speed, a thud or pop can be heard from the rear, which could be the shocks or struts in the rear. On a luxury vehicle, with this low of miles, these shouldn't need replacement so quickly. No warning lights or messages.

On 7/23 my family experience a very horrific event. While traveling on a road at approximately 35 mph our rear passenger window exploded. The explosion was unexpected and dangerously unsafe. There was debri of broken glass all over our bodies, hair, clothing and inside our vehicle. Luckily our family was not injured. Since then our family has really questioned the safety of your vehicles after learning that this type of event is happening to other hyundai palisade owners. I created a case and have not heard back from anyone nor any dealership cannot provide assistance in my area. My kids and family are afraid to get into a vehicle we thought was safe but apparently is not. I need someone to call me and I need to stop being transferred over and over to different customer service reps and need hyundai to take responsibility for our loss family time, appointments and mental insecurities caused by this explosion.
