This was the third time this has happened. This time while there was no acceleration, I noticed the tachometer increased with the depression of the gas peddle. Still no acceleration, so this time I tried to use the paddle shifters to manually shift the car. I tried to upshift but didn't see much if any improvement, so I immediately downshifted several times and it now started to accelerate. It appeared as though it automatically shifted into neutral. I had taken it to the dealer and told them the issue, however after doing a diagnostic, they claimed there was no error code, so they could not do anything about it. I wrote to Hyundai and they basically stated the same thing that I should take it to the dealer, but if no diagnostic error they couldn't do anything about it. I told them it was a very serious issue that could cause a serious accident or death, but still no resolution. I asked them why they train mechanics but don't allow them to use their training and experience to try and resolve the issue, but still no change in their response. They even wanted me to use a passenger to "video the issue" the next time it happened. Now I see that I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue. How many more owners have the issue but don't report it via car complaints?
