Driving at about 45mph, the engine just stopped. Dash lights came on as they would if car stalled. Wouldn't start. Had it towed to a mechanic who was able to start it. So much noise he figured the bearing were shot. Only reasonable next step- a rebuilt or used engine. Never saw an engine light for oil pressure. The steering wheel for this vehicle is such that the top of the dash display is not visible. I need to duck down to see the top of the speedometer. The light may have been covered up by the steering wheel. This in itself is a major flaw for the very reason that if the engine light had come on and I had seen it I could have immediately stopped. Though as another guy wrote he did stop immediately and his engine was still toast. He also reported that oil pump failures are not uncommon for this vehicle.
