Santa Fe LX 3.3lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 136,702 miles

I was away for 3 weeks and the vehicle was parked. When I returned, the car would not start . Almost a year later, I received the recall notice about the alternator problem. Rather than put more money into a 2007 vehicle, I bought a new vehicle..

Santa Fe LS 3.3L

  • Automatic transmission

HAD ALTERNATOR REPLACED TWICE AFTER RECALL. HYANDAI ONLY RECOGNIZED ONE REPAIR AND THEN ONLY PARTIAL COST OF REPAIR. PRETTY SURE TIMING COVER REPLACEMENT WAS ALSO CAUSED BY LEAKING CYLINDER COVER WHICH WAS RECOGNIZED AS FAILURE OF ALTERNATOR SECOND TIME BUT NOT FIRST TIME AS IT WASNT DONE AT HYANDAI DEALERSHIP DUE TO THE NEW YEAR WEEKEND AND COST OF TOW TO NEAREST DEALERSHUP

This was the first time it happened. It has now happened again and should be a recall item.
